Areas of interest:

• Generative AI Training and Model Development focuses on foundation models for scientific domains and techniques for training, scaling, and customizing, such as distillation, multi-modality, and modularity.

• Generative AI Alignment and Inference focuses on techniques for customizing, enhancing, and operating, such as explainability, reliability, and inference efficiency, as well as multi-model systems and retrieval augmented generation.

• Robotics and Edge AI focuses on robotics, autonomous vehicles, 5G/6G, smart spaces, and federated learning.

The call for proposals (CFPs) for each interest area includes eligibility information, compute resources available to request (incl. DGX Spark, RTX PRO 6000, Jetson Orin Nano, Jetson AGX Orin, and A100 GPU hours), and submission instructions, including a required proposal template.

The CBF's Support for Organizations stream contributes to the marketing and promotion of Canadian-authored books and strengthens the infrastructure and efficiency of the Canadian book industry through professional development, internships and technology projects.

The Support for Publishers component of the Canada Book Fund (CBF) helps to ensure the sustainable production and marketing of Canadian-authored books by offsetting the high costs of publishing in Canada and building the capacity and competitiveness of the sector.

The Business Development sub-component provides assistance to publishers for internship projects and business planning projects.
